What is LiDAR Golf?

LiDAR Golf is a private members-only simulator club in Edmonton. Members receive year-round access to professional golf simulation, racing simulators, karaoke, social space and available flight simulation, along with member tournaments, events and future LiDAR-scanned golf content.

Unlike a public entertainment venue, LiDAR Golf limits membership and access to members and their invited guests. This helps protect simulator availability, reduce crowding and build a consistent community.

Why is LiDAR Golf a private club?

The private-club model allows us to limit active memberships, protect booking availability, offer a more comfortable experience and grow the club around real member demand.

LiDAR Golf is not intended to be a high-volume public arcade. It is a technology-driven golf and simulator club where members can practise, compete, socialize and help shape future experiences.

Who is LiDAR Golf for?

LiDAR Golf is a strong fit for:

• Golfers who want dependable year-round practice in Edmonton

• Competitive golfers who value shot data, club gapping, leagues and tournaments

Who may not be a good fit?

LiDAR Golf may not be the right fit if you only want occasional public walk-in play, need a month-to-month drop-in pass or do not expect to use the club regularly. Memberships are annual and subject to the Membership Agreement and club rules.

When does LiDAR Golf open?

LiDAR Golf opens Tuesday, October 13, 2026. We take possession of the facility on September 15, 2026 and will use the following four weeks for installation, commissioning and testing.

Where is LiDAR Golf located?

LiDAR Golf is located in Edmonton, Alberta. Full arrival, parking and access instructions will be provided to active members before opening.

What are the planned member hours?

Regular member hours are planned for Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Hours may change for holidays, maintenance, private events or operating needs. Mondays may be used for maintenance, instruction, professional programming and club development.

MEMBERSHIP CAP AND GOLF-BAY ROLLOUT

How many active memberships are available?

LiDAR Golf has a hard cap of 112 active membership accounts at full four-bay build-out.

Each live golf bay supports no more than 28 active accounts. This cap includes a capacity buffer for cleaning, transitions, maintenance, events, scheduling concentration and technical downtime.

Why did the membership cap change from 144 to 112?

We reduced the cap to give members more scheduling room. The revised model reserves 16 hours per bay each week instead of treating every theoretical operating hour as bookable. That creates a more realistic operating buffer and better protects the two-hour weekly golf allocation.

How does the staged golf-bay rollout work?

LiDAR Golf opens with one commissioned golf bay and expands to four as membership grows and each additional bay is installed and tested.

An account beyond the capacity of the live bays will not be activated until the next bay is commissioned. We will never activate more than 28 membership accounts per live golf bay.

Why start with one golf bay?

Starting with one bay allows LiDAR Golf to open with professional equipment and expand in step with real demand. The facility is being prepared for four bays so additional installations can be completed as membership grows.

This rollout protects cash for operations, avoids leaving expensive equipment idle and keeps the club focused on delivering a dependable member experience.

What is the activation queue?

If all active spaces supported by the installed bays have been claimed, new buyers may be offered a place in the next activation group.

Queued accounts are not active memberships. The annual service term, renewal clock and two-hour weekly golf allocation do not begin until the required golf bay is commissioned and the account is activated.

Any activation-queue offer will clearly disclose its payment, estimated activation, cancellation and refund terms before purchase. Those terms will be governed by the Membership Agreement.

How will members know when another bay is coming?

LiDAR Golf will communicate membership milestones, equipment orders, installation timing and activation dates. A new activation group begins only after the applicable bay has been installed, tested and accepted for member use.

Is expansion guaranteed on a specific date?

No. Expansion depends on membership demand, equipment availability, installation timing and successful commissioning. LiDAR Golf will not promise a bay activation date until the order and installation schedule are confirmed.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS AND PRICING

What membership types are available?

LiDAR Golf offers two annual membership types:

Gold Membership

An individual membership for one person. Gold members receive a seven-day advance booking window and may bring guests under club rules. Gold memberships are generally non-transferable.

Black Corporate Membership

A company-held membership for staff, clients, team building and corporate entertainment. It receives a 14-day advance booking window and may be reassigned among approved users within the subscribing organization, subject to account controls and club rules.

What are the current annual membership prices?

Applicable taxes are additional unless the store states otherwise.

What are the pricing deadlines?

• Super Early Bird pricing ends July 31, 2026.
• Early Bird pricing ends September 15, 2026.
• Regular pricing begins September 16, 2026.

Promotional pricing is also subject to available inventory. A pricing deadline does not guarantee that an active membership space will remain available until that date.

Do 2026 founding members keep their rate?

Yes. A 2026 founding member’s annual rate remains price-locked while the membership stays continuously active, paid and in good standing, subject to the final renewal terms in the Membership Agreement.

If a membership is cancelled, expires beyond any applicable grace period or is restarted later, the founding rate may be lost.

Does an activation-queue account keep the price offered at purchase?

The price and activation terms shown in the specific queue offer will apply. The membership service term and renewal clock will not begin until activation. Buyers should review the queue terms before purchasing.

Are discounts available?

The current verified-member discounts are:

• 10% off a regular-price membership for eligible active or retired union members
• 25% off a regular-price membership for eligible active or retired Canadian Armed Forces or Ukrainian Armed Forces members

Discounts do not stack and do not apply to Super Early Bird or Early Bird pricing. Proof of eligibility is required.

Can I pay in installments?

Third-party financing or installment options may be offered through the online store. Approval, interest, fees and repayment terms are set by the provider. A payment plan does not change the membership’s activation, booking or cancellation rules.

What does a Black Corporate Membership include?

A Black Corporate Membership is one company-held active account. It may be used by approved people within the subscribing organization, but it provides one booking entitlement and one two-hour weekly golf allocation—not a separate allocation for every employee or user.

The organization is responsible for its authorized users, guests, bookings, payments, waivers and compliance with club rules.

Can I transfer my membership?

Gold Memberships are generally non-transferable. Black Corporate Memberships may be reassigned among approved users within the subscribing organization.

Individual exceptions may be considered for serious circumstances such as qualifying military deployment or member incapacitation, subject to documentation and the Membership Agreement.

BOOKING AND GOLF ACCESS

How much golf time does an active membership include?

Each active Gold or Black Corporate account is allocated up to two advance-booked golf hours per normal operating week.

This allocation begins only when the membership is activated. It applies to the account, not to each guest or corporate user.

What does “two booked golf hours per week” mean?

It means the active-account cap and live-bay capacity are designed to provide each active account with up to two hours of advance-booked golf time during a normal operating week.

It does not guarantee a particular day, time or first-choice slot. Prime-time availability is shared among members. Technical downtime, maintenance, holidays, short operating weeks, emergencies and certain private events may affect availability.

How far in advance can I book?

• Gold Membership: up to 7 days in advance
• Black Corporate Membership: up to 14 days in advance

Detailed rules for prime time, cancellations, no-shows, recurring bookings and maximum reservation length will be published before opening.

Can I play more than two golf hours in a week?

Yes, when space is available. Members may use eligible same-day or walk-on openings under club rules. Same-day extra play is not guaranteed and cannot displace an existing reservation.

What is walk-on access?

Walk-on access is same-day use of an unbooked golf bay. It is available only when the bay is open, operational and not reserved. Club staff may limit or end a walk-on session when required for the next booking.

How do I book?

Members will use LiDAR Golf’s online booking system. Only active accounts may book member time.

Can the public book a simulator?

No. LiDAR Golf is a private club. Non-members may participate only as invited guests, approved corporate users or participants in specifically authorized club programming.

What happens during technical downtime?

Golf simulator systems occasionally require calibration, maintenance, software updates or repair. LiDAR Golf will make reasonable efforts to restore service quickly and communicate material interruptions. Maintenance and technical downtime are excluded from the normal weekly allocation calculation.

GOLF SIMULATION

Which launch monitor does LiDAR Golf use?

LiDAR Golf uses the ProTee VX overhead launch monitor. Its high-speed camera system measures ball and club data without requiring the hardware to be moved between left-handed and right-handed players.

Can left-handed and right-handed golfers play together?

Yes. The overhead design supports left-handed and right-handed players in the same session.

Do I need marked golf balls?

No. Standard clean golf balls may be used, subject to simulator safety rules.

Can I bring my own clubs?

Yes. Members and guests may bring clean, safe clubs. Dirty clubs or marked, cracked or damaged balls may be refused because they can damage the screen and equipment.

Can I practise instead of playing a full course?

Yes. Depending on the installed software, members may use the bay for driving-range practice, shot analysis, club gapping, skills challenges, swing work, course play and competitions.

Will there be leagues and tournaments?

Yes. LiDAR Golf plans member tournaments and seasonal programming, including a Monthly Mixed Tournament on the last Friday of each month from September through May. Additional leagues, ladders, corporate events and special competitions may be added as membership grows.

Can beginners join?

Absolutely. LiDAR Golf welcomes beginners, casual players, competitive golfers and social players. Respectful conduct is expected from everyone.

RACING, FLIGHT AND KARAOKE

Are racing simulators included with membership?

Yes. Access to available racing simulators is included as a member amenity. LiDAR Golf’s opening plan includes two racing simulator stations using MOZA hardware. Booking limits, session lengths and availability will apply.

Racing sessions are seat-based and normally booked for one driver at a time. Members may rotate with permitted guests only when club rules and the specific setup allow it.

Is karaoke included with membership?

Yes. Access to the available karaoke system is included as a member amenity. The planned setup uses Bose and Shure audio equipment with karaoke software. Reservations, time limits, noise controls, guest limits and availability will apply.

Is flight simulation included with membership?

Yes. Access to available flight simulation is included as a member amenity when the equipment is commissioned and open for booking. Flight simulation is not part of the two-hour weekly golf allocation and does not have the same guaranteed-access promise as golf.

Do the other amenities reduce my golf allocation?

No. Racing, karaoke, available flight simulation and social-space access are separate member amenities. Their use does not consume the account’s two advance-booked golf hours unless a specific combined event is clearly described otherwise.

Are racing, karaoke and flight access unlimited?

They are included, but not guaranteed or unrestricted. Fair-use rules, booking limits, maintenance, private events and demand may affect availability. LiDAR Golf may adjust session limits to provide fair access for the membership.

GUESTS

Can I bring guests?

Yes. Active members may bring guests under club rules and capacity limits. Planned limits are:

• Golf: up to four guests within the member’s booked bay session
• Karaoke: up to five guests
• Racing: normally one active driver per simulator station
• Flight simulation: normally one active pilot per station

Guest fees may apply. Final limits may be adjusted for safety, room capacity, licensing or operating requirements.

Do guests receive separate booking time?

No. Guests participate within the member’s reservation. Bringing guests does not multiply the member’s booking entitlement or weekly golf allocation.

Do guests need to sign a waiver?

Yes. Every participant must complete the required waiver before using simulator equipment or participating in an activity.

Are members responsible for their guests?

Yes. Members are responsible for their guests’ conduct, waiver completion and compliance with club rules. Charges, suspension or cancellation may result from damage or serious misconduct caused by a member, authorized corporate user or guest.

Can guests enter without the member?

Generally, no. Guests must be invited and accompanied by the member or authorized corporate user unless LiDAR Golf has approved a specific event or program.

FOOD, DRINKS AND SOCIAL SPACE

Will food and drinks be available?

The Pro Shop may offer packaged snacks, soft drinks, energy drinks, water and light food options. Selection may vary.

Can members order food delivery?

Yes. Members may use the designated social or picnic area for delivery orders, subject to cleanliness and facility rules.

Will alcohol be served?

Not initially. Members should assume that LiDAR Golf does not sell or serve alcohol unless a licence or authorized special event is formally announced. Outside alcohol is not permitted unless LiDAR Golf expressly approves it in writing and all legal requirements are met.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND ACCOUNT STATUS

Are memberships refundable?

Memberships are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or expressly provided in the Membership Agreement. Membership inventory is limited, and the club makes equipment, scheduling and operating commitments based on active accounts.

Activation-queue purchases will have separate, clearly disclosed activation and refund terms.

Can I pause my membership?

Annual memberships are intended to remain active throughout their term. A pause is not guaranteed. Documented exceptional circumstances may be reviewed under the Membership Agreement.

What if I move away?

Gold Memberships are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. Members who may relocate should review the Membership Agreement before purchasing.

What happens if a payment fails?

Access may be suspended while an account is unpaid or invalid. If the account is not brought back into good standing within the applicable grace period, it may be cancelled and any founding price lock may be lost.

What if LiDAR Golf cannot provide the purchased membership?

LiDAR Golf will apply the remedies required by the Membership Agreement and applicable Alberta consumer protection law. Activation-queue buyers will also receive the specific protections disclosed in their queue offer.

TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNITY

Why is the club called LiDAR Golf?

LiDAR means Light Detection and Ranging. It is scanning technology used to create highly accurate digital representations of real places.

LiDAR Golf’s long-term vision includes scanning real golf courses and racetracks, building playable digital environments and testing new simulator experiences with the member community.

Is LiDAR Golf only a simulator club?

No. The private club is the foundation of a broader technology platform focused on golf simulation, LiDAR-scanned environments, digital content, testing and community events.

Why join instead of building a simulator at home?

A high-quality home simulator requires dedicated space, an enclosure, impact screen, launch monitor, projector or display, gaming computer, turf, software, installation, maintenance and future upgrades.

LiDAR Golf provides access to professional simulator technology, multiple entertainment amenities and a private community without requiring members to build and maintain the entire system themselves.

Who operates LiDAR Golf?

LiDAR Golf was founded by Brad Oleksy, whose background spans golf operations, video game development, motion capture, virtual production, 3D scanning, film and television production. The club brings those disciplines together in a member-focused Edmonton facility.

JOINING LIDAR GOLF

What should I consider before joining?

Before purchasing, consider whether:

• You expect to use the club regularly
• An annual membership fits your budget
• The booking window works for your schedule
• You understand the difference between an active account and an activation-queue position
• The guest, cancellation and refund rules suit your needs

How do I join?

Purchase an available Gold or Black Corporate Membership at lidar.golf. Review the product page, Membership Agreement, waiver, club rules and—if applicable—activation-queue terms before completing the purchase.

Active membership is capped at 28 accounts per live golf bay and 112 accounts at full build-out. Once all active and future activation inventory is committed, new applicants may be placed on a waitlist.
